'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
